What I have chosen to do
I have chosen to do a music video. I have chosen to do a music video because I thought I would put more effort into making a music video rather than making a movie trailer. The way I have decided this is because I thought what I would have better and creative ideas for and decided on the music video.
I sat down and brainstormed diferent ideas for our music video the three main artists were Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj, I chose these three becasue they are world wide artists that everyone knows and I believe that i'll be able have fun in filming these shoots.
Then I had to choose which one, why I chose them and why I didn't choose the others, I finished with Justin Bieber because I can get both boys and girls involved in the music video and it would be fun to shoot. After this I had to choose a song, and due to the song having to be over 8 years old or a song without a video, I narrowed it down to two, these were 'Be Alright' and 'All I Want Is You', after deciding which one to do and going through all the different things could do with both videos I finally decided to do 'Be Alright', I chose this over his other songs because it is one of his most known songs which would help people recognise it, it also suits the genre I wanted which was Pop and finally I could get my friend who knows the song very well which is a big help, plus he is a good actor aswell so will suit the role perfectly.

Group break
Unfortunately our group broke up today so I was forced to work on my own and start new ideas for the main task, our group wasn't working well as a team so we came the conclusion that it would be better for all three of us were to work on our own and use our own ideas for our main task.

Main Task
For our main task we had to choose to create a music video or a film trailer. In our group of three we brainstormed ideas for both, these are including differnet genres of film for the film trailer and differnet genres of music for the music video, I will now start posting all our planning and research for the main task.

Evaluation of the Preliminary Task
We have done our evaluation of our practice task and wrote about in on paper. We had been given some questions and answered them on paper and made them correct. After this we then spoke about our evaluation on top of our Video.
The type of things we spoke about in our evaluation was...
1. Give your initial reaction to the product?
We thought it was an above average effort from our group and it was sufficient enough to learn from. The experience sharpened our existing video editing skills.
2. What do you feel you have done well?
Our group succeeded in selecting the appropriate camera angles to capture our main character's movements/gestures. We also succeeded in holding the camera steady and choosing suitable times to cut clips.
3. What do you think could have changed or improved?
We could've taken a wider variety of clips to fill in the breaks. We could've also included more than one moving shot, also we could've made the scenery more relevant to the theme of the song, and however we were limited to the schools facilities and places around the school. (e.g pond)
4. How does it compare with real media products?
In comparison with real media products the quality of our video (in terms of colour/vibrancy) was very poor.
- For example we used the pond as a location because it was a good contrast from the performance stage.
- In these next few clips, we used a medium shot in order to capture the main character's lip syncing and the long shot made sure the audience could see he’s actions and hand gestures.
- The back high angle shot was done as it makes the main character look small and this is good because the main character has more stage presence.

Preliminary Task
To ensure us and prepare us for our real Music Video, we have made a practise video. This was done so when we started to do our Premilinary Task so when we started our real Music Video we would know what to do properly and be able to do our final video to the best of our ability with minor mistakes and not major ones.
We got in to a group of 4 (Rufaro, Aynur, Joseph and Myself) and decided to make a practise viedo to "Micheal Buble- Come Fly With Me).
